Harris Krogh
17, New Plymouth, New Zealand
My name is Harris and I have been mountain biking for at least 8 years.
My first introduction to gravity-based riding was on a holiday in Rotorua and I have been hooked ever since. I have been riding at Lake Mangamahoe in New Plymouth for many years and over the past couple of years I have picked up dirt jump riding at Rotoz dirt jump park in New Plymouth. Rotoz is run by Scott Bedford who is a big contributor to the dirt jump scene in New Plymouth. Thanks to Scott’s hard work building the best jumps and a super fun inclusive community, riding dirt jumps has become my biggest passion.
I love learning new tricks and building new jumps to ride. I still love to ride my mountain bike in the forest and I also spend time riding at the skatepark for something different. I don’t mind where it is, as long as I’m pedalling. I like to combine all of these and film videos with my friend George and this is now my favourite way to express my riding now that I have dialled back on doing competitions. I'm currently working on a longer form video in partnership with George and also Seppy Binsbergen who is a fellow Pivot ambassador.
I ride a Pivot Point V2 and a Pivot Firebird 29. These are my favourite bikes ever and I'm so stoked to be supported by Pivot.
